A Little About Me:

At the age of 11, acting on a whim, I went over to pay a visit to Elvis at his new home at 1034 Audubon Drive.   Elvis had a reputation for being very gracious to the local kids. I found this to be true, as Elvis’ parents offered me lemonade while I and a friend waited for Elvis to come out. Signing autographs for us, Elvis issued an invitation for us to “come back any time”.  Taking him at his word, I went back many afternoons after school to visit both Elvis and his parents, and was always made to feel welcome. I enjoyed Gladys Presley’s delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies on more than one occasion.  It was here that I first met Red West and George Klein.  When my father bought a restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida, I sadly told the Presleys good bye in 1957.  It would be 15 years before I would see Elvis again.
